We love seeing what exciting projects our customers are currently working on. Every month we would like to showcase a couple of cars in whatever state they are in - on the road or on the rack. This month’s Customer Car Story comes from Kristin Attaway and her 1974 matching numbers 914.
The car came with all the original paperwork and owner’s manual. Originally ordered with Light Ivory paint, this 914 was purchased by the Air Monitor Corp. Company from Felton Porsche/ Audi on August 9th, 1974.
At some point after that it changed hands in San Jose before briefly ending up in Oregon where it was used to tow a small boat.
The car then made its way back down south and in 2018 Kristin acquired the car in Pasadena, California. Since then, she has been slowly rebuilding the car with some help from her friend, and 914 expert, Bruce Stone.
In 2020, the car was repainted Zambezi Green and it has helped breathe new life into the car. Kristin is anticipating completing the car by June of this year and can’t wait to drive it all over California and beyond! It’s great to see so much of the original documentation survived the tides of time and we are thrilled to see another 914 hit the road with a proud owner behind the wheel.
